How score scaling works

Each exam has different max scores per criterion (e.g. NAPLAN Audience is /6, while Paragraphing is /2). To compare criteria fairly, we scale each criterion score using scaled = (raw score / criterion max) * 10 (rounded for display). This gives a consistent 1-10 view across different rubric formats.
